Job Description

Category Laboratory - Histology Job Type Contract An exciting laboratory opportunity is available for an experienced professional in histology. This contract position is well-suited to a skilled individual ready to bring expertise in tissue sample preparation, slide staining, and laboratory analysis over a 13-week period.
Schedule:
Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday through Friday Candidates will participate in a 30-minute virtual interview via MS Teams.
Qualifications:
4 to 5 years of professional experience in histology Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in a science-related field Certification as HT (Histotechnician) or HTL (Histotechnologist) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency with routine histology techniques, laboratory protocols, and safety regulations Attention to detail, organization, and effective teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Process, embed, section, and stain tissue samples using established laboratory methods Operate and maintain histology equipment and instrumentation with a focus on quality results Prepare slides for microscopic examination for diagnostic purposes Follow protocols for specimen handling, labeling, and documentation to ensure accuracy Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to optimize workflow and meet turnaround times Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards Participate in ongoing quality control and improvement initiatives within the laboratory setting This contract role is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a dynamic laboratory environment, working alongside dedicated professionals who value attention to detail and clinical excellence.
