The Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role at St. Mary Village, supporting the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This hands-on role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and creating memorable experiences. This is a full-time, seasonal role beginning July 2026. Staff accommodation available. Roles & Responsibilities Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations. Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members to deliver exceptional guest service. Foster a positive, engaged, and service-focused team culture. Collaborate with department leaders to ensure seamless operations and communication. Resolve guest concerns and support service recovery efforts. Respond to guest feedback, reviews, and surveys to drive continuous improvement. Champion a Safety First culture by identifying and reporting safety and maintenance concerns and supporting OH&S processes. Assist with labor management, departmental budgets, and operational reporting. Oversee staff accommodations, including room assignments, occupancy, inspections, and conflict resolution. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management initiatives. Lead weekly manager meetings as needed and ensure teams have the tools and resources required for success. Provide hands-on support across departments and perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of hotel leadership experience in an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role. Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related education preferred; equivalent experience considered. Experience in seasonal hospitality, resorts, lodges, or concession operations is an asset. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proven commitment to exceptional guest service and team development. Experience supporting labor management, budgeting, and operational performance. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
