Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager - Backflow Services to lead and oversee all aspects of our backflow prevention and testing operations. This role is vital in driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards. As the leader of the backflow services division, you will be responsible for managing profit and loss, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities Lead and manage the overall operations of the backflow services division, including project management, service delivery, and customer relations. Develop and execute strategic plans to expand business opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and increase profitability. Oversee financial management activities such as profit & loss analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision making to ensure financial health. Manage team development through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management to build a motivated and skilled workforce. Drive process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance service quality. Collaborate with executive-level teams to align division goals with broader organizational objectives and support business development initiatives. Supervise operational activities including compliance with safety standards, customer service excellence, and project execution timelines. Utilize Excel data analysis tools for reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and operational trends to inform strategic decisions. Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team. Develop strategic partnerships and pursue new sales opportunities to grow the division's market presence. Qualifications Proven management experience with a strong background in business management or operations leadership within technical or service industries. Demonstrated success in profit & loss management, financial analysis, and strategic planning. Extensive team management experience with a focus on team development and leadership at an executive level. Proficiency in Excel data analysis for reporting purposes; ability to interpret complex data sets for decision making. Strong project management skills with a track record of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards. Excellent managerial communication skills to effectively lead teams, liaise with clients, and collaborate with executive stakeholders. Knowledge of backflow prevention systems or related technical expertise is preferred but not mandatory; relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
