Assistant General Manager

Job Summary:

SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Billings is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help oversee daily hotel operations and uphold Marriott brand standards. This leadership role supports the General Manager in ensuring smooth execution across all departments, maintaining guest satisfaction, managing staff performance, and driving financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance Lead and motivate staff with a focus on teamwork, accountability, and guest service excellence Handle guest complaints and service recovery with professionalism and empathy Manage scheduling, payroll approvals, and labor cost control Assist in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff Monitor quality assurance, cleanliness, and brand standards compliance Oversee inventory ordering and cost controls for supplies and amenities Ensure financial targets and operational goals are met or exceeded Act as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is off-site

Requirements:

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Hands-on management style with a willingness to step in where needed Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred
