Job Description
Business Manager | Valley Christian School | Missoula, Montana Full-Time | Reports to Head of School Valley Christian School is seeking a Business Manager to oversee the financial and business operations of our Christ-centered K-12 school. We are looking for a highly organized, trustworthy, and financially knowledgeable individual who views excellent stewardship and administrative service as part of the ministry of Christian education. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with annual financial reporting.
- Manage tuition billing, collections, and student financial accounts.
- Assist with student financial aid and tuition assistance administration.
- Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls.
- Coordinate with the school's CPA, financial institutions, and vendors.
- Provide financial information to the Head of School and Board of Directors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, student, family, and school financial information. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 5 year's experience in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
- High degree of accuracy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school leadership.
- School, nonprofit, church, or ministry experience is a plus.
