Job Description

The Executive Director ensures that the key ministries of Storyhill Church are (a) well led and (b) working in unity. she/he plays a pivotal role in aligning church ministries (including operational ministries) with the congregation's overarching vision. As a key partner to the Lead Pastor, this position is responsible for executing strategic initiatives, overseeing staff, and ensuring that ministry efforts are effectively coordinated. She/He fosters collaboration, accountability, and encouragement across ministries. With a strong focus on leadership, team oversight, conflict resolution, and resource stewardship, the Executive Director ensures that the church functions smoothly and sustainably. This role champions the church's mission and values, driving organizational effectiveness while freeing the Lead Pastor to focus on preaching, vision casting and keeping, as well as ministerial counsel. Reporting to the Lead Pastor, she/he is a key figure in the church's leadership structure. This role is not so much pastoral; rather, it is more like a Chief of Staff or Town Manager in the governmental sphere, ensuring that the church's vision is translated into action.
