Finance Manager:
The Finance Manager is a strategic executive role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations of Concord Christian Academy, including oversight of all transactional financial processes to operate a world class academy.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of day-to-day operations of the Finance Office including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and employee/vendor onboarding.
- Lead monthly Finance Committee meetings with occasional Board meeting presentations.
- Oversee tuition contracts and related financial aid processes.
- Oversee annual financial statement audit as well as Form 990 and Form 5500 filings.
- Monthly reconciliation of all accounts as well as preparation and analysis of monthly finance reports using Fathom Reporting software.
- Monthly closing entries to record ancillary charges in Quickbooks Online, deferred tuition to revenue, etc.
- Review of outstanding tuition balances for collection and potential impairment.
- Inputting new employee/vendor paperwork into the appropriate system.
- Input tuition contracts and assist with the financial aid review process.
- Oversee monthly billing of Aftercare charges performed by Aftercare Director and related collections.
- Prepare workpapers for annual financial statement audit as well as Form 990 and Form 5500 filings (including completion of annual census).
- Assist with annual workers compensation audit.
- Participate in Administrative Team meetings
Qualifications:
- Review and affirm, without reservation to the Core Statements adopted by CCA including the CCA Mission, Vision, Core Values, Community Life Statement, Statement of Faith, Philosophy of Christian Education, School-wide Learning Outcomes, and Instructional Values.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. MBA preferred.
- Experience in accounting/financial roles specifically in an educational setting.
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online and familiarity with FACTS (tuition management software)
