Job Description

Position Overview:
The Geneva Family YMCA is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Executive Director. The CEO/Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the Geneva Family YMCA and is responsible for strategic leadership, financial stewardship, staff development, fundraising, community engagement, and advancing the YMCA's mission. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO partners with volunteers, staff, donors, community organizations, and members to ensure long-term organizational sustainability and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership Develop and implement strategies that strengthen the YMCA's long-term sustainability. Expand membership and increase community participation. Identify opportunities for new programs and services. Financial Stewardship Manage an annual operating budget exceeding $1 million. Strengthen financial performance through sound fiscal management. Develop long-range financial plans. Fundraising & Community Partnerships Lead annual fundraising campaigns. Cultivate donor relationships. Build partnerships with businesses, foundations, schools, municipalities, and community organizations. Staff Leadership Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Support professional development. Community Engagement Serve as the public face of the YMCA. Build relationships with members, volunteers, elected officials, and community leaders. Promote the YMCA mission throughout the region. Board Development Partner with the Board of Directors on governance. Support board recruitment and development. Ensure effective board engagement.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
