The purpose of the General Manager is to direct the overall activity of a car wash location through leading, motivating and developing a site team that delivers a quality customer experience, while being accountable for achieving financial site-specific goals and objectives.
Goals:
  • Drive quality and excellent customer service through the daily management of employees and site programs.
  • Ensure all training and development of site staff to company standards.
  • Manage sales and volume at the site level by directing on-site sales & promotional efforts.
  • Ensuring proper staffing and scheduling
  • Create and promote a safe and positive work environment while effectively executing the company safety program.
  • Ensure daily openings and closings are on schedule and standards and procedures are maintained.
  • Effectively answers all customer questions and handle complaints.
  • Appropriately address employee performance issues and recognize good performance.
  • Lead recruiting, hiring and retention efforts for site team.
Primary Focus to achieve
Goals:
Drive Quality and Excellent Customer Service Daily management of employee's progress and performance Managing site programs and their implementation Inspect and correct where needed Monitor the site through cleanliness and proper working equipment Ensure the value received is greater than the price paid Ensure Training Meets Company Standard Follow procedures in written manual Confirm all classroom training has been completed Confirm all on-site training has been completed Manage Sales and Volume Daily review of Service Advisors progress and ability to meet goals Establish time standards and confirm they are being met Ensuring all promotions and programs are being followed Ensure Proper Staffing Set weekly trends i. adjust to unforeseen circumstances Create weekly employee schedules i. Use trends as a guide Ensure goals of key personnel are being met Create A Safe Work Environment Confirm always that all new hires have received safety training. Ensure all employees are effectively implementing the company safety program Conduct weekly / monthly safety meetings. i. Address areas of concern ii. Retrain when necessary Assure safety becomes part of daily procedures Complete Daily Opening and Closing Procedure Ensure all procedures are being met Confirm they are on schedule Be sure all daily reports are completed. Confirm safe reconciliation Ensure the days proceeds are deposited Answer Customer Questions and Handel Complaints Actively listen to answer customer questions Handel Customer Complaints with Respect and Concern Employee Performance Recognize and address employee deficiencies or issues
Duties:
Become a self-sufficient manager bringing solutions to problems Interact with customer Daily oversight of location and its operations Inspecting and correcting on-site staff issues Build and foster a team environment Recognize employee success and reward as necessary Conduct weekly / monthly safety meetings Set the crews adjusting as day progresses Monitor the cleanliness of site and maintenance of equipment Set daily goals review with key personnel Increase unlimited membership Achieve daily goals Achieve monthly goals Reduce expenses Meet or exceed monthly budgeted projections Follow current procedures - improve where possible Scheduling and trending the business Address customer issues Representing Splash in the most professional way possible and maintaining temper or attitude even with the most difficult customers Recognize issues before they become problems and resolving them quickly Monthly meetings with company executives and other general managers to discuss promotions, company outlook, and large scale outlook of the company. Receive tri-weekly sales reports to effectively communicate with staff on the trending of sales at the location. Monthly Profit and Loss reports to be calculated and compared from previous year and meet with Regional Manager to discuss overview of site performance. Yearly meeting with Regional Manager and Area Manager to discuss yearly budgets and trends for growth.
