Annual income potential is $150,000-$200,000 This is a top‑tier opportunity for an experienced Used Car Manager who excels in the Long Island automotive market and understands how to drive used‑car sales , gross profit , and inventory turn . Duties Used Car Department Leadership — oversee all used‑car operations , inventory mix, aging targets, and retail performance Automotive Appraisals — perform accurate trade‑in valuations using market data, appraisal tools, and competitive pricing Vehicle Acquisition — source vehicles through auctions, trades, service lane mining, and local market opportunities Inventory Management — maintain optimal inventory levels, pricing alignment, and fast turn times Used Car Pricing Strategy — utilize vAuto and market data to maximize gross profit and inventory turn Sales Team Coaching — train and motivate sales staff to achieve used‑car department goals Auction & Vendor Relationships — maintain strong partnerships to support consistent inventory flow Skills Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automotive Used Car Manager at a franchised automotive dealership Proven track record of running a profitable, high-performing used car department Hands-on experience as an Automotive Used Car Manager working with various makes and models Proficiency with CDK Drive DMS and familiarity with other dealership software platforms Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills Compensation and Benefits $150,000 - $200,000 annually based on experience and department performance Monthly and holiday bonuses Demo Allowance Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holiday schedule Qualified candidates should submit their resume through Indeed.
