General Manager Location:
Southampton, NY Compensation:
$130-150k About Us A growing home services company dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and outstanding service to our clients throughout the Hamptons. We take pride in running a smooth, professional operation powered by a dedicated field and office team. About the Role We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented General Manager to lead our day-to-day operations in Southampton, NY. This is a hands-on leadership position for an organized, decisive leader who thrives on running a tight operation, developing a strong team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Oversee all service, installation, and office functions to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable both field crews and office personnel while building a culture of professionalism, reliability, and teamwork.
Scheduling & Dispatch:
Own overall scheduling and dispatching to maximize crew productivity, route efficiency, and job completion.
Customer Escalations:
Act as the primary point of escalation for complex customer issues, resolving them promptly to protect and enhance our reputation.
Financial & Operational Management:
Manage operational budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and spot opportunities to improve margins and streamline workflows.
Talent Management:
Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention for a high-performing team.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols, quality control, and industry compliance across all job sites and facilities.
Inventory & Vendor Relations:
Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate vendor terms, and manage equipment and inventory levels.
Strategic Growth:
Partner directly with ownership on long-term planning and strategic expansion initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
Proven management experience with direct responsibility for leading and developing a team. Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of motivating staff and building strong client relationships. Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen with experience managing operational metrics and basic budgets.
Preferred:
Prior management experience in home services or field service operations (e.g., pool service, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, construction, or similar). Familiarity with field service management, dispatch, or scheduling software. Direct experience contributing to P&L management or business growth strategies.
Pay:
