This role blends operational leadership with hands-on sales execution, ensuring alignment across sales, operations, customer experience, and financial performance. This individual oversees the full sales function while maintaining direct responsibility for key, high-value accounts. The General Manager is accountable for profitability, team development, and continuous business improvement. Qualifications and Physical Requirements Demonstrates strong personal and professional integrity aligned with company values. Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage teams. Strong sales background with experience managing key accounts. Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and business planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities. Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform field-based sales activities and site visits. Occasional travel to customer sites, job sites, or industry events. Ability to work in office, showroom, and warehouse environments. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must pass background check and meet insurability standards. Role and Responsibilities:
General Oversight & Business Performance Oversee all business operations in alignment with ownership objectives. Monitor and ensure profitability and achievement of financial goals. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all departments. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members across sales and operations. Set clear expectations, performance goals, and accountability standards. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive, safe, and results-driven work environment. Create opportunities for employee growth and development. Sales Leadership & Execution Oversee and lead the entire sales function, including lead management, quoting, and order flow. Establish sales goals, quotas, and performance metrics. Actively sell and manage key strategic and high-value accounts. Ensure alignment with marketing initiatives and growth strategies. Monitor pipeline activity and sales performance. Strategic Growth & Business Development Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends and sales data to identify expansion opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and vendors. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Customer & Account Management Maintain relationships with high-value and strategic customers. Ensure exceptional customer experience and service standards. Resolve complex or escalated customer issues. Ensure all customer needs are followed through to completion. Sales Operations & Order Management Ensure timely follow-up on leads and conversion opportunities. Oversee accuracy and timeliness of quotes and orders. Approve quotes and finalized sales orders. Ensure smooth transition of orders to Sales Support for processing. Coordinate with operations on fulfillment, timelines, and product issues. Vendor & Purchasing Oversight Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Ensure purchasing processes are followed. Address and resolve vendor-related issues. Provide feedback to vendors to improve support and service levels. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track key metrics including sales performance, profitability, and operational efficiency. Forecast revenue and adjust strategies as needed. Use data and reporting to guide decision-making. Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations. Provide consistent, meaningful reporting to ownership on business performance.
