Assistant General Manager We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) to partner with the General Manager in leading our multi-brand hotel campus. The AGM will serve as a key member of the leadership team, supporting daily hotel operations, employee leadership, guest satisfaction, and property-level sales efforts . This position will also act as the primary on-site management contact when the General Manager is off property. Key Responsibilities Partner with the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations across the campus. Serve as on-site management and make operational decisions when the General Manager is off property. Support Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast, Laundry, and overall property operations. Assist with employee training, coaching, scheduling, accountability, and performance management. Resolve guest concerns and help maintain a welcoming, service-focused environment. Monitor room readiness, cleanliness, property condition, and brand standards. Partner directly with the General Manager to drive hotel sales and grow local business. Help identify and pursue corporate, group, extended-stay, airport, crew, construction, and other local account opportunities. Participate in sales calls, property tours, account follow-up, community outreach, and relationship building. Help maintain relationships with existing accounts while identifying opportunities to generate new business. Provide reasonable operational coverage when unexpected staffing gaps occur. Assist with reporting, inspections, administrative responsibilities, and special projects. Qualifications Previous hotel or hospitality experience required. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Front Office and/or Housekeeping experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable leading the property and making decisions in the General Manager's absence. Comfortable developing relationships, representing the hotels in the community, and actively participating in sales efforts. Ability to work across multiple departments and adapt to changing operational needs. Previous hotel sales experience is a plus, but not required. Choice Hotels and/or extended-stay experience is a plus, but not required. About the Role This is a hands-on leadership and sales position for someone who wants to grow in hotel management. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager as a true operational partner—helping lead the team, solve problems, maintain standards, and actively grow the hotels' business. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys building relationships, communicates well, and is equally comfortable leading hotel operations and helping bring business through the door.
