Job Description

Position Summary The Personal Care Home Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of the community, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania DHS regulations (55 Pa. Code Chapter 2600), fiscal stewardship, and high-quality resident care. The Administrator will foster a family-like atmosphere that emphasizes transparency, customer service, and resident-centered care. This individual must be resilient, a proven change agent, and a strong, motivated leader with at least five years of experience in senior living operations. Essential Functions Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure the community complies with all state, federal, and local regulations, including Pennsylvania DHS Chapter 2600 requirements. Maintain and oversee all licensing standards, inspections, surveys, and corrective actions. Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance programs to continuously improve resident outcomes. Operational Oversight Provide daily leadership and supervision of all department heads and staff to ensure smooth operations across all service areas. Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and expense management to maintain fiscal responsibility. Implement systems to monitor occupancy, staffing, and service delivery to achieve operational goals. Resident and Family Relations Foster a warm, family-like atmosphere where residents feel safe, respected, and engaged. Serve as the primary liaison between residents, families, and staff, maintaining transparency and responsiveness in all communications. Ensure that resident assessments, care plans, and support services are provided in accordance with regulations and community standards. Leadership and Staff Development Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing team members who align with the community's mission and culture. Lead with resilience and adaptability, driving positive change while supporting staff through transitions. Maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Customer Service and Marketing Promote a customer service mindset across all staff, ensuring residents and families receive exceptional service. Collaborate with the marketing and admissions team to support occupancy growth and retention. Represent the community professionally in the local market and with external stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience as a licensed Personal Care Home Administrator or equivalent senior living leadership role. Must have an active PCHA Administrator Certification Demonstrated track record of regulatory compliance, financial management, and operational excellence. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead teams through change with resilience and motivation. Commitment to transparency, integrity, and customer service.
