$35•45/hr (DOE) Our Mission & Impact Power House Sober Living is a faith‑based nonprofit that supports individuals in recovery by providing safe, drug•and alcohol-free housing and a nurturing sober community as each person rebuilds and reclaims their lives. Since 2018, Power House has served 49 men on their journey toward sobriety, stability, and independence. Our program offers nurturing home environments grounded in Christian fellowship, daily accountability, and personal growth in areas such as financial literacy, career development, and family restoration. Staff and guests partner together to create a supportive, disciplined, and encouraging community where God's healing work is visible and lasting transformation becomes possible. In the past year alone, 17 men have experienced Power House's recovery community. The program is working. Our 2025 Guest and Alumni Feedback Survey found that: 72% reported remaining clean and sober for over one year; nearly 45% reported staying sober for over 3 years; 94% found employment during their stay; 94% repaired family ties and restored relationships; and 44% returned to school. We seek a Managing Director who will excel at leading a small, mission‑driven team while building new partnerships and strengthening relationships with funders, community leaders, and supporters. The ideal candidate brings advanced communication and marketing skills, with the ability to elevate public awareness across multiple platforms including social media, our website, newsletters, events, and local media outreach. This role requires a strategic thinker who can initiate new opportunities, deepen existing collaborations, and represent Power House with professionalism and warmth across all stakeholder groups. Responsibilities Develop and implement the Strategic Plan with CEO and Board support Set clear annual priorities aligned with a 1-3 year growth plan Maintain focus on measurable impact and long-term sustainability Identify growth opportunities and remove barriers to progress Lead overall fundraising strategy and revenue targets Cultivate and steward major donors and funding partners Activate and empower Board members and supporters in fundraising efforts Oversee grant pipeline strategy and supervise grant seeking activities Develop and implement a communications strategy for the organization Design and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns (email, social, website, peer-to-peer) Develop donor communications highlighting impact and outcomes Create scheduled newsletters and monthly messaging for donors Collect stories, testimonials, and outcomes to demonstrate program impact Collaborate on all fundraising and capital campaigns Manage donor and gift tracking Ensure accurate gift processing and acknowledgments in collaboration with CEO Analyze giving trends and prepare reports for leadership & Board Track fundraising progress toward annual goals Build and strengthen community partnerships and referral networks Increase organizational visibility and credibility Represent the organization in public forums and networking events Partner with Board Chair to align governance and strategy Supervise a small team and ensure role clarity and accountability Foster a focused, mission-aligned culture within the organization Qualifications 5+ years nonprofit leadership, fundraising, or development experience Demonstrated success securing funding and building new partnerships Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors Strong communicator, with demonstrable capacity to deliver compelling narratives Highly resourceful and attentive to the organizations financial goals Self-directed and accountable Personal value of service toward others To Apply We welcome applicants who share our values, believe in our mission, and are energized by the opportunity to serve others and make a meaningful impact.
