Up to $54,000 annually with performance bonuses Position Summary The Assistant General Manager helps lead the daily operations of PULSEology Fitness Club, with primary responsibility for front desk operations, staff leadership, member service, sales performance, and maintaining the overall standards of the facility. This is a hands-on management position focused on building and developing a strong front desk team that can confidently handle daily member needs, sales opportunities, and routine operational issues. The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager and Owner to maintain a professional, welcoming, clean, and high-performing club. Job Description The Assistant General Manager oversees the day-to-day performance of the front desk and helps ensure PULSEology operates efficiently and consistently. This includes managing and training employees, maintaining staff coverage, supporting membership and retail sales, managing member accounts, monitoring facility standards, and addressing routine operational concerns. The position requires strong leadership, communication, organization, customer service, and sales skills. As a management role, reasonable schedule flexibility is expected to support staffing, training, events, and operational needs. Primary Job Duties Lead and oversee daily front desk operations. Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop front desk employees. Create and maintain staff schedules and ensure adequate shift coverage. Help build a team capable of independently handling routine member and operational needs. Maintain a professional and service-focused member experience. Welcome prospective members, provide facility tours, explain membership options, and complete enrollments. Manage and improve front desk sales performance, including smoothies, supplements, and fitness consultation bookings. Maintain accurate member profiles and account information. Follow up with members regarding failed payments, expired payment methods, and other account issues. Assist members with routine questions, concerns, and account needs. Maintain high standards for gym cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation. Assign cleaning responsibilities and ensure employees follow established standards. Monitor facility conditions and communicate maintenance or operational concerns. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve employee performance, customer service, and sales. Periodically check club operations outside normal scheduled hours to support staff and maintain operational standards. Attend meetings, training sessions, company events, and functions as needed. Communicate significant staffing, member, or operational concerns to the General Manager or Owner. Assist with shift coverage when necessary to maintain club operations. Perform other reasonable management duties as needed to support the continued operation and growth of PULSEology. Compensation & Performance Bonus The Assistant General Manager receives a base salary of $48,000 per year with the opportunity to earn up to $54,000 annually through performance bonuses. Performance bonuses are based on achieving established monthly goals. Goals will be communicated in advance and may be adjusted over time based on business growth, seasonality, prior performance, staffing, and club capacity.
