We are building a clean, professional, customer-focused operation from the ground up — and we are looking for a Car Wash Manager to help lead it. This is not a position where we are simply looking for someone to keep the doors open. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, lead people, solve problems, take care of customers, and help build a great operation. You do not need previous car wash experience. We can teach you the car wash business. What we cannot easily teach is initiative, accountability, leadership, reliability, good judgment, and the desire to learn. The Opportunity The Car Wash Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of The Spartan Wash and will work directly with the General Manager. You will lead the team, maintain the facility, help deliver an excellent customer experience, monitor the equipment and operation, and make sure the business is ready to serve customers every day. You will have meaningful responsibility and autonomy, but you will also have a General Manager who will train you, support you, and hold you accountable for the operation. What You'll Be Responsible For Daily Operations Open and prepare the facility for business. Ensure the tunnel, vacuums, pay stations, lights, A/C, customer areas, and other operating areas are ready. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional property. Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly. Monitor the operation throughout the day and address issues before they become larger problems. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and hold employees accountable to expectations. Make sure employees arrive on time and are prepared to work. Help train employees and reinforce operating standards. Maintain a positive, energetic, professional work environment. Assist with staffing issues and employee callouts. Lead by example — this is a hands-on management position. Customer Experience Greet and engage customers. Help customers understand our wash options and memberships. Handle customer questions and complaints professionally. Resolve problems quickly and fairly. Help create an environment that makes customers want to come back. Equipment & Facility Monitor the tunnel, vacuums, pay stations, and other equipment. Respond quickly to equipment problems and tunnel jams. Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate repairs when necessary. Report significant equipment problems or downtime to the General Manager promptly. Keep bathrooms, vacuum areas, lot, building, and customer areas clean and maintained. Inventory & Cash Monitor chemicals, supplies, and operating inventory. Identify wear items and supplies that need attention. Learn our inventory system and eventually take ownership of routine ordering and restocking. Learn and properly use our POS system, including refunds and other administrative functions. Maintain responsibility for the cash drawer and follow all cash-handling procedures. Sales Lead by example in membership and wash-plan sales. Help employees become comfortable talking with customers about our membership options. Focus on providing value and finding the right solution for the customer — not high-pressure selling. Previous experience in a car wash, automotive, retail, hospitality, restaurant, service, or other customer-facing operation is helpful. However, we will hire the right person over the person with the most industry experience. Training The Spartan Wash is a new operation, and the person we hire will receive extensive pre-opening training. You will work directly with the General Manager to learn our operation, systems, customer experience standards, sales process, equipment, procedures, and expectations. You will also participate in training with our car wash technology and sales partners. You are not expected to know everything on Day 1. You are expected to learn it, retain it, apply it, and eventually be able to teach it to your team. Schedule This is a full-time management position supporting a car wash that operates 7 days per week . The position will require flexibility, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional coverage when operational needs require it. The right candidate should understand that management means being dependable when the business needs you. Compensation Approximately $50,000 annual salary + performance-based bonus opportunity. Additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
