Auto Detail Shop Manager Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring an experienced, hands-on Auto Detail Shop Manager to lead our dealership detail operation. This role is responsible for managing the daily workflow, leading and developing the team, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring vehicles are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has automotive detailing experience, knows how to lead by example, and can keep a fast-paced shop organized, productive, and accountable. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of an automotive detail department at a dealership Lead, train, schedule, and oversee detail employees Monitor vehicle workflow and prioritize work to meet dealership deadlines Perform final quality-control inspections on completed vehicles Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, safety, and proper care of equipment Communicate with dealership personnel and Teph Seal leadership regarding workload, priorities, and staffing needs Help detail vehicles as needed, including interior and exterior cleaning, vacuuming, shampooing, washing, drying, waxing, polishing, and glass cleaning Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment Drive and move vehicles safely as needed Address quality, attendance, and performance concerns with employees in a timely and professional manner Help create a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous automotive detailing experience required Previous leadership or management experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to manage multiple employees and priorities in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and able to communicate professionally with employees and dealership staff Ability to understand safety and work instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred Able to work on your feet, bend, lift, and work in varying weather conditions Pay This is a flat-rate position, with pay based on production and performance. Managers typically earn $600-$900 per week , while experienced, high-performing managers can earn $1,000-$1,300 per week .
