Job Description
This position is responsible for providing exemplary customer service, with a focus on driving sales, marketing initiatives, assisting with daily operations, and special events within a retail environment at the Sabre Shop located in the Aquatic Fitness Center. This supervisory position requires a responsible individual that enjoys interacting with customers and can provide exceptional customer service. Must be able to master cashier and computer functions, stock sales floor, execute merchandising protocols, receive merchandise and transfers, all in accordance with established policies and procedures. Incumbent independently performs opening and closing functions while ensuring all inventory assets are secure. Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends, football games and swim meets among others. Responsibilities Supervision and training of student staff to assist with daily operations. Create weekly schedules, set clear expectations with staff and provide feedback when needed. Ensure store is neat, clean, and fully stocked. Work directly with Operations Manager on inventory and operational needs. Required Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Required Experience Up to 4 years of retail experience Preferred Experience At least 2 years of supervisory experience Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong customer service skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong mathematical skills Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft applications, email, and other basic functions. Ability to operate a cash register and inventory computer system. Required Computer Applications Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Outlook (email)
