JGeneral Manager - Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) About the Company We are a growing Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven General Manager to lead our delivery operations. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our DSP, including driver performance, route execution, safety, fleet management, staffing, training, and overall operational profitability. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to build strong teams while holding people accountable to high standards. Position Overview The General Manager will serve as the primary operational leader for the DSP and will work closely with the owner to ensure the company consistently meets or exceeds Amazon's operational, safety, customer service, and performance expectations. The ideal candidate is an exceptional people leader who can manage a large team, solve problems quickly, analyze performance data, and create a culture of accountability and excellence. Key Responsibilities Operations Oversee daily delivery operations and ensure routes are dispatched and completed efficiently. Manage daily staffing, scheduling, dispatching, and driver coverage. Monitor Amazon performance metrics and take corrective action when necessary. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions. Ensure the DSP consistently meets Amazon's delivery and performance standards. Work with dispatchers and team leaders to resolve issues throughout the delivery day. Team Leadership Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain delivery drivers. Manage and develop dispatchers, supervisors, and other leadership personnel. Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance. Conduct performance reviews and implement coaching and corrective-action plans. Create a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Driver Performance Monitor driver attendance, productivity, customer service, and safety. Review driver scorecards and identify opportunities for improvement. Coach drivers regarding safe driving, delivery procedures, and customer interactions. Recognize and reward high-performing employees. Address attendance, performance, and conduct issues promptly. Safety & Compliance Maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Ensure drivers follow all company and Amazon safety requirements. Monitor vehicle inspections and maintenance compliance. Investigate accidents, incidents, and employee safety concerns. Ensure all required documentation and training remain current. Fleet Management Oversee the DSP's fleet of delivery vehicles. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs. Monitor vehicle condition and availability. Minimize vehicle downtime and unnecessary repair expenses. Ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and properly maintained. Financial & Business Management Assist the owner with budgeting and operational planning. Monitor labor costs, overtime, vehicle expenses, and other operating costs. Identify opportunities to improve profitability. Track operational KPIs and develop action plans to improve performance. Help the company scale as route volume increases. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of management or operations leadership experience. Experience managing a large hourly workforce. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to analyze operational data and make decisions based on performance metrics. Experience with employee coaching, discipline, and development. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly. Willingness to be hands-on and lead by example. Amazon DSP Experience Preferred Previous experience with an Amazon DSP, logistics company, last-mile delivery operation, transportation company, warehouse, or similar high-volume operation is strongly preferred.
