Job Description

Position Overview The Collision Center Director provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial management across collision center operations. This role is responsible for driving profitability, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, ensuring OEM/DRP compliance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Strategy Direct daily shop operations to optimize workflow, cycle times, and technician productivity. Implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for repair quality, quality control (QC), and facility maintenance. Oversee parts procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships to minimize turnaround delays. Financial & P&L Management Maintain full departmental P&L accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross profit margin, labor efficiency, average repair order (RO), and cycle time. Maximize revenue through efficient scheduling, accurate estimating, and effective DRP (Direct Repair Program) management. Team Development & Leadership Recruit, hire, train, and mentor estimators, body technicians, painters, and support staff. Establish clear performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure ongoing technical training and certifications (e.g., I-CAR, OEM-specific certifications). DRP & Insurance Relations Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance adjusters, direct repair programs, and external partners. Ensure strict compliance with all DRP guidelines, billing protocols, and estimate audits. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT). Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all safety protocols are consistently met. Oversee final inspection processes to guarantee repairs meet or exceed OEM specifications.
Key Qualifications Experience:
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in auto body/collision repair management, with proven P&L responsibility.
Certifications:
Advanced I-CAR Gold Class certification and OEM manufacturer certifications preferred.
Skills:
Expertise in estimating software (CCC ONE, Audatex, Mitchell), strong financial acumen, and proven team-building capabilities.

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
