POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, FM Systems, the General Manager, Seattle will oversee the day-to-day operations of FM Systems' Seattle presence and is responsible for the development of the Pacific Northwest market.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Market Development Develop new client relationships by leveraging existing connections or sourcing new contacts. Create an awareness of FM Systems in the market, highlighting our product quality and values. Possess a thorough understanding of FM Systems' inventory, deployment methods, and quoting standards. Create proposals and quotes for current and prospective clients. Work with existing clients to improve outcomes, maximize profit, repeat business, and reputation. Upon securing a project, create, update, and maintain all pertinent schedules, gear specs, show files, drawings, and related documents. In collaboration with the Management Team, develop sales goals and targets, marketing materials, etc. for the Pacific Northwest market. Human Resources In consultation with the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Human Resources, develop and manage all Seattle employees, full time and casual. Conduct interviews, and provide hiring advice for new employees. Oversee employee training, track certifications and coordinate scheduling of training sessions. Schedule employees, including days off, holiday requests, and leaves of absence. Coordinate requirements with Accounting, and/or the Management Team on a case-by-case basis With the Management Team, provide input to the company's HR policy, bringing the specific circumstance and needs of Seattle employees to bear for consideration. Enforce company HR policies, providing coaching, encouragement or discipline as the case may require. Serve as mediator in employee disagreements and assist in conflict resolution. Coordinate terminations and resignations with the Management Team on a case-by-case basis. Operations Oversee all daily operations of the Seattle office/warehouse. Empower Warehouse Manager to successfully lead warehouse staff and complete all daily tasks and ongoing projects set in consultation with the COO. Regularly set targets and follow-up debriefings with Sales Team. Work with Executive team on warehouse property maintenance Corporate As a member of the Management Team, assist in the development of and execution of company wide objectives, direction, policies, and initiatives. Translate corporate objectives into meaningful objectives for employees. Maintain/improve morale and cultural focus. Enforce the company health and safety management system. Enforce all company policies and lead by example. Via the COO, advise the Executive Team on capital expenditures to maximize development of the market. Other duties as assigned by the COO.
