COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$20 - $30 an hour (depending on experience) Candidates who take on additional responsibilities, such as hands-on shop support or project coordination, may earn toward the top of the pay range.SUMMARY Hours:

Are you comfortable on a computer and ready to move from the shop floor to an office role? Kallibrated Metals is seeking an Estimator Trainee to learn and support quoting for custom metal fabrication projects. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on estimating experience in a low-volume, high-mix environment while working closely with customers, engineers, and operations. The role is ideal for production team members, CNC operators, drafters, or other fabrication professionals who want to step into estimating. You will receive training in cost estimation, blueprint reading, and quoting, setting the stage for a long-term career in metal fabrication estimating. This role offers competitive pay, with additional earning potential for those who take on shop floor or project responsibilities.RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine customer supplied blueprints and other relevant information to understand scope of each project Provide detailed and accurate cost estimates by analyzing material and labor requirements Request quotes for raw materials and outsourced operations as needed Review and analyze job costs and profit targets, and adjust pricing models as necessary Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding project requirements and clarificationsOptional:
gain exposure to project coordination and shop floor processes to broaden skillsQUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret drawings or models Comfortable with computers; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong analytical and organizational skills Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Ability to input and organize dataPay:
