General Manager Rod's Ride On Powersports — La Crosse, WI
WE'RE LOOKING FOR A LEADER WHO TAKES OWNERSHIP.
Rod's Ride On Powersports is looking for an experienced, results-driven General Manager who is ready to take ownership of the dealership's performance, culture, and future. This is not a "9-to-5 manager" position. We are looking for someone who treats the dealership like it is their own business. The right candidate understands that their success is the dealership's success—and the dealership's success is their responsibility. If you are the type of person who sees a problem and finds a solution, takes accountability instead of making excuses, sets the standard for everyone around you, and refuses to quit when things get difficult, we want to talk to you. Prior dealership leadership experience isREQUIRED.
Powersports dealership leadership experience is strongly preferred.THE MISSION
Your mission as General Manager is simple: Build a great team. Sell more. Make more. Take care of customers. Improve every day. Win. You will have overall responsibility for the dealership's performance and will be expected to lead from the front. You will be responsible for driving results across Sales, Finance, Service, Parts, Inventory, Marketing, and overall dealership operations. You won't be successful by simply managing people. You will be successful by building people, building processes, driving accountability, and producing results.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
The General Manager will be directly accountable for:- Overall dealership profitability and financial performance
- Sales volume and gross profit performance
- F&I performance and PVR
- Service and Parts profitability
- Customer satisfaction and retention
- Inventory management, aging, turn rate, and profitability
- Lead management and sales conversion
- Employee productivity and performance
- Recruiting, training, and developing top talent
- Department manager performance and accountability
- Operating expenses and departmental budgets
- Dealership processes, efficiency, and execution
- Customer experience from the first contact through ownership
- Manufacturer relationships and performance standards
- Building a culture of urgency, accountability, teamwork, and winning You will know your numbers.

You take ownership.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Entire Dealership- Take overall responsibility for dealership operations and results
- Lead and develop department managers
- Establish clear performance expectations and measurable goals
- Conduct regular performance reviews and accountability meetings
- Ensure every department understands its role in the dealership's success
- Create a culture where high performance is expected—not optional Drive Sales & Profitability
- Develop strategies to increase unit sales and gross profit
- Monitor sales performance daily, weekly, and monthly
- Analyze closing ratios, traffic, leads, appointments, gross, and inventory turn
- Work with Sales and Finance management to maximize front-end and back-end profitability
- Identify opportunities to increase PVR and overall dealership profitability
- Hold management accountable for hitting financial and operational targets Own Fixed Operations
- Work closely with Service and Parts leadership to improve profitability and customer retention
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, hours sold, effective labor rate, and customer-pay performance
- Identify opportunities to grow Service and Parts revenue
- Ensure customers are being retained after the sale Build a Winning Team
- Recruit exceptional people

- Maintain disciplined inventory management
- Monitor aging and inventory turn
- Ensure pricing remains competitive while protecting profitability
- Work with management to identify aged units and develop action plans
- Balance inventory levels with market demand Drive Accountability The GM will establish measurable goals for every department and ensure those goals are being tracked and achieved.
