Job Description

Summary:
The General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the dispensary while combining elements of our culture, strategy, quality, marketing, sales and profitability and implementing them throughout the facility. This position reports to the Regional Manager and will provide leadership and coaching to all core departments including security, sales, patient services, and inventory. They will lead all strategies and tasks related to facilities, accounting, sales, marketing, and public relations. Responsibilities also include overall building appearance, cleanliness, comfort, functionality, safety, security, and the overall customer experience. This manager will also ensure the dispensary's compliance and all team members' adherence to all laws and regulations concerning medical marijuana. The General Manager should have a detailed understanding of the medical marijuana market and preferably have experience managing a retail medical marijuana dispensary. The individual must possess strong personal drive, self-direction, a passion for developing people and serving patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hiring, developing, and coaching of all dispensary positions along with developing and executing SOP's, training, and on-boarding programsManage the dispensary team, conduct performance evaluations, create the schedule, and conduct the disciplinary process when applicable.

Develop, implement, and oversee execution of dispensary strategy and operations Review store environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvementMaintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, nightly and monthly inventory counts, necessary employee and patient/customer information, logbooks, inventory adjustments and destruction reportsEnsures all required state and company sanctioned reports and audits are executed on time Serve as a brand representative within the community and participate in industry events and trade shows as opportunities occurProvides superior customer service for vendors, patient/customers and caregiversResponds to all patient/customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions when requiredEnsures a world-class experience exists for our patients in accordance with mission, vision, and valuesDevelop and implement standards for to assure that all dispensary operations such as admissions, patient consulting, product dispensing, cash management, inventory management, inventory auditing, outreach, marketing and ordering are functioning with integrity and in the most cost efficient, compassionate and compliant mannerServe as the first point of contact with State and Local regulatory representativesCreates an environment in which a personal, customer-focused, and service-oriented mentality is standard Cross functionally collaborates on product design, development, packaging and other channels to ensure the product meets the needs of the stores and continues to drive overall brand strategiesMaintains a presence on the floor in order to effectively coach and support dispensary teams. Ensures operational priorities, processes and procedures are communicated, understood and executed consistentlyEstablishes sales objectives by creating a sales and inventory management planRecommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, compiling consumer feedback and online reviewsEnsure compliance with rules regarding inventory, storage, dispensing, receiving, destruction, record keeping, and all other rules and laws regarding medical marijuana.

Any other task as defined by Regional Manager.
Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Retail Management and/or Pharmacy Management experience, specifically in a high-growth environment Bachelor's degree in business, management or related fieldsExperience with medical marijuana program rules and regulations regarding dispensary management Experience with management coaching, training, and talent developmentProven experience establishing strategic goals with key stakeholders and monitoring company and individual performance through KPIs and other metricsDemonstrated passion to serving the medical cannabis communityProficient in MS Office, Highly Proficient in MS ExcelDemonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative mannerStrong business acumen including data management, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgencyAfter-hours work required to manage sales facing inventory and order entryExperience in a fast-paced environment and compliance drivenMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to pass a background check Ability to travelClean driving record, and valid state driver's license required
Physical Requirements:
Long periods of prolonged sitting and standing Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phonesRequires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computerMay require lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
