Job Summary The Grants Administrator is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing grant applications in accordance with established grant rules and compliance requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established processes consistently, and professional and compassionate communication with applicants who are family caregivers. Responsibilities Receive and log incoming grant applications Review applications for eligibility based on program-specific grant criteria Verify that all required documentation has been submitted Contact applicants to request missing information or clarify incomplete submissions Maintain accurate records in SAMS and internal grant tracking systems Adhere to all grant compliance rules and documentation requirements Communicate professionally and compassionately with caregiver applicants Flag eligibility concerns for supervisor review Support grant reporting with accurate data and application status updates Maintain strict confidentiality of applicant information Required Skills and Qualifications High attention to detail — required Ability to follow written guidelines and grant rules precisely and consistently Strong computer literacy including databases, spreadsheets, and email Accurate typing skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Compassionate and professional demeanor with individuals who may be under stress Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently Reliable attendance and consistent follow-through Preferred Qualifications Experience in grants administration, social services, healthcare, or nonprofit work Familiarity with SAMS (Statewide Automated Management System) Experience with older adult populations, caregivers, or aging services Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field Schedule Part-time hours within Monday-Friday core office hours.
