Job Description

We are looking for a Grant Analyst to support grant administration for a mission-driven non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position will oversee grant activity from intake through completion, helping ensure each award is processed accurately, documented thoroughly, and handled in accordance with policy and regulatory expectations. The role also contributes to process refinement, reporting quality, and cross-functional coordination to strengthen overall grant operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of routine and complex grants from initial review through final processing, ensuring each transaction is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews by evaluating recipient eligibility, funding purpose, and supporting documentation to support compliant grant decisions.
  • Interpret policies and regulatory standards and apply them to day-to-day grant workflows in a practical and consistent manner.
  • Analyze current grant procedures, identify inefficiencies or control gaps, and recommend improvements that enhance turnaround time and service quality.
  • Maintain high standards for grant record accuracy by validating coding, documentation, and data entry across systems and files.
  • Create and update training materials, templates, and job aids that improve adoption and effective use of grant-related tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to align expectations around governance, service delivery, reporting needs, and operational priorities.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for sensitive or time-critical grant matters, balancing organizational policy, risk considerations, and stakeholder needs.
  • Support additional grant operations activities and special assignments as business needs evolve.
