•75 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience Job Summary CSR Virtual Assistant Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Grant Specialist / Grant Manager to support government and public-sector grant projects on a contract and as-needed basis. The selected professional will assist with the full grant lifecycle, including identifying funding opportunities, reviewing Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs), developing grant applications, preparing narratives and supporting documentation, monitoring compliance requirements, and coordinating information from clients, engineers, and other subject-matter experts. This position is being recruited to support CSR's growing government-contracting and grant-support services, including potential assignments associated with recently submitted proposals. This is a contingent/as-needed position. Work assignments, hours, and start dates are not guaranteed and will depend upon contract awards, authorized task orders, client needs, and project requirements. Primary Responsibilities The Grant Specialist / Grant Manager will: Research federal, state, local, and other government funding opportunities. Review NOFOs, agency guidance, eligibility requirements, scoring criteria, deadlines, match requirements, and required documentation. Prepare and edit competitive grant applications and project narratives. Develop application checklists, compliance matrices, schedules, budgets, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with CSR leadership, government clients, engineers, and other technical professionals to obtain required project information. Assist with federal and state grant compliance requirements and documentation. Support benefit-cost analysis requirements and coordinate with technical professionals when specialized BCA work is necessary. Review applications for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance before submission. Maintain organized electronic grant files and supporting records. Assist with post-award grant administration, reporting, documentation, and compliance when assigned. Manage multiple deadlines and immediately communicate potential schedule or compliance concerns.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants should have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. At least five (5) years of experience in grant research, grant writing, grant administration, grant compliance, or related grant management. Demonstrated experience working with government or public-sector grants. Strong professional writing, editing, research, and organizational skills. Experience interpreting grant requirements and developing complete application packages. Ability to work independently while coordinating with a multidisciplinary project team. Strong deadline-management and attention-to-detail skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF/document-management tools, virtual meetings, and online grant submission systems. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with experience involving federal or Florida grant programs; local government; public works or infrastructure; transportation, stormwater, resilience, or emergency-management funding; benefit-cost analysis documentation; federal grant compliance; or working with engineering and technical consulting teams.
