Each year we serve over 15,000 people from our Lawrence, Haverhill, Lynn and Salem, NH locations, where people know they can turn for caring, compassionate and highly skilled support.
POSITION SUMMARY
Identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities and operational costs at the YWCA Northeastern Massachusetts. This person will be responsible for the grant writing and funding application development and submission of grant proposals. As well as to identify funding and cultivate relationships with private foundations. This person will also manage the reporting and contract management for the YWCA state and federal funding streams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Own grant application process starts with the research, qualifications, and draft programs and financial information needed for development of new and current grant proposals and following through to the application submission. Research new grant opportunities and industry trends Compellingly articulate the mission, vision of YWCA to various audiences. Be capable of effectively describing to donors any YWCA program Work in collaboration with the Director of Advancement and Communications Manager to build a network of support for YWCA. Visit YWCA staff periodically at YWCA sites and attend YWCA events. Work with state, local, and federal funding agencies to ensure we are compliance with contracts and are tracking the outcomes of all funding streams. Work with-in deadlines and be flexible to adjust time as needed to complete applications on time
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree with at least 3+ years of experience in grant writing/editing and/or in a related field. High level of writing and grant funding research skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including proofreading Strong interpersonal skills, creativity and critical thinking. Ability to listen and develop information into grant proposals, reports and related pieces. Ability to work in collaboration with team members from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. Attention to detail and organization and ability to meet deadlines. Proficient in Canva, Give Butter, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
