Full Job Description About Us:
We are a non-profit organization in operation for over 50 years in communities north of Boston.
Position Overview:
This full time employee will manage the organization's overall grant efforts to include planning and implementing grant programs, preparing budgets, researching funding opportunities, monitoring expenditures, identifying support agencies, tracking results, analyzing financial data and prospecting and stewarding grant funders. Collaborate with staff across the organization to create compelling grant proposals and funding requests, taking lead on larger grant opportunities. Conduct targeted research to identify new private and public funding and help grow the existing portfolio of funders to ensure the organization maintains a diverse portfolio of funders.
Key Responsibilities :
Resource Management
- Researches, prepares, submits, and manages foundation and corporate grant proposals.
- Prepares and delivers grant reports to funders in compliance with designated deadlines.
- Researches and identifies new foundation and corporate prospects while renewing existing support. Strategic Planning Coordinates grants management processes including oversight of pre
- and post-award data management, reporting, stewardship, and multi-year grant requirements and payments.
Develops strategic alliances with community and business leaders aimed at securing resources for the organization. Ensures compliance with all grant reporting processes. Manages and maintains meticulous donor records in the donor database. Resource Management Works closely with colleagues to learn about projects that could be funded through grants. Collaborates with Finance to develop adequate budgets for grant proposals. Prioritizes multiple deadlines and manages supplemental requirements for grant proposals. Partnership Development Provides support for fundraising events as needed. Supports and develops collaborative partnerships with funders and other similar organizations in our community. Other tasks & projects as assigned. Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in grant writing and management for a non-profit organization. Proven effectiveness in applying for, securing, and reporting on a grants portfolio of at least $1 million annually. Exceptional organization skills. Experience tracking grants and using online grant application systems. Experience with leveraging CRM as a donor moves management tool. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated experience in working with corporate executives, high-net-worth individuals, and leadership volunteers. Proficiency with Candid, Bloomerang and Microsoft/Google Suites. Able to work independently and exercise good judgement. Commitment to high ethical standards, inclusivity, and professionalism. Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with staff (professional and volunteer) and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintains contact as needed with funders, prospects, external community groups, and others to assist in resolving problems.
