Job Description

Employment Opportunity Manager of Grants and Stewardship Job Description:
VIA is seeking a full time Manager of Grants and Stewardship. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, this position is primarily responsible for identifying, crafting and managing the grant and reporting process as well as supporting donor stewardship efforts.
Essential Functions:
Research and Identification:
Identify potential grant opportunities from institutional, family, and corporate foundations that align with VIA's mission and programs.
Proposal and Report Writing:
Prepare, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and deadlines.
Collaboration:
Work cross-departmentally with program staff to gather information for proposals and reports, including project objectives, outcomes, budgets, and evaluation methods.
Grant Management:
Track and manage all aspects of the grant lifecycle, including application submission, timelines, and reporting requirements. Ensure adherence to grant agreements and maintain comprehensive records for accountability.
Stewardship Management:
Support planning and executing donor stewardship initiatives for individual, corporate, and foundation partners, including scheduling agency tours or meetings with donors and agency leadership. Execute benefits to donors and funders in a timely and high-quality manner.
Gift Processing:
Support gift processing to ensure accurate execution of check processing procedures and donor acknowledgement procedures.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of all grant and donor activities in the donor database. Support the execution of other development projects, such as annual fundraisers and campaigns
Competencies:
Proven experience developing and writing grant proposals to private and public funding sources, including budget narratives and project timelines. Working knowledge of grant application and reporting guidelines, including electronic submission processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with familiarity in donor databases. Strong, persuasive writing and editing skills with a high-level command of grammar and an ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to deadlines. Effective collaboration with cross-departmental teams and diverse stakeholders to gather necessary information. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors and community partners. Analytical skills for gathering, evaluating, and presenting data effectively. Displays a high level of emotional intelligence and respect for maintaining sensitive information regarding employee, managerial, organizational and/or client/vendor information in a confidential manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and foundation relations, with a strong preference for nonprofit sector experience and a track record of securing significant funding.
Compensation:
