Community Development Grant Coordinator Grand Gateway Economic Development Association (GGEDA) is seeking a highly organized and motivated Grant Writer/Grant Administrator to support community and economic development initiatives throughout Northeast Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, research, organizational, and communication skills along with an understanding of the needs of rural communities, municipalities, and community organizations. This position will help turn community needs and ideas into successful, fundable projects. Key Responsibilities Grant Development & Writing Research and identify federal, state, foundation and other funding opportunities Monitor funding announcements, eligibility requirements and deadlines Work with communities and partners to develop fundable project concepts Prepare grant applications, narratives, budgets, timelines and supporting documentation Review applications for accuracy, completeness and compliance Maintain grant opportunity and deadline calendars Grant Administration Administer grants from award through closeout Monitor budgets, requirements, deliverables and reporting deadlines Prepare progress, financial and closeout reports Maintain accurate grant files and audit documentation Ensure compliance with funder, federal, state and local requirements Community Development Support Work directly with local governments, nonprofits and community stakeholders Help communities identify funding strategies and appropriate grant programs Participate in community meetings and project planning Build relationships with funding agencies and community partners Stay current on funding priorities, regulations and community development trends Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Grant writing and/or administration experience preferred Strong writing, communication, research and analytical skills Excellent organization and project management abilities Ability to interpret grant guidelines and manage multiple deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively with elected officials, community leaders, nonprofits, government agencies and the public Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Community or economic development Rural or municipal government Nonprofit organizations Federal or state grant programs EDA, USDA, or CDBG programs Infrastructure, water/wastewater, transportation, or public facilities Workforce development, housing, or downtown revitalization Grant compliance, reporting and federal procurement What Makes This Position Different This is more than a grant-writing position.
