The City of Pendleton is seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead floodplain management, FEMA mapping activities, and federally funded mitigation projects. This role provides senior technical guidance, manages complex water resources and resilience initiatives, and coordinates with multiple agencies including FEMA, DLCD, OEM, USACE, and Tribal and county partners. The position requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, or closely related field, NFIP/CFM expertise, strong project management skills, and 10 years of progressive experience with flood hazard mapping and public communication, satisfactory equivalent combination may be considered. This full-time position is funded by federal grants and supports critical community resilience and regulatory compliance efforts. The wage range is $9,575 - $12,063 per month DOE plus excellent benefits. Requires valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.
