Job Description

Our client is growing like crazy, and we are hiring new folks for our team! We're currently seeking an Inventory Counter for a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Opelika, AL. This role plays a key part in monitoring, counting, and maintaining the accuracy of inventory levels across packaging, raw materials, and finished products. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and ready to contribute in a team-driven warehouse and logistics environment.

Pay Rate:

$21.00/hr

+ Shift Premium

+ Perfect Attendance Bonus eligibility

Shift Schedule:

Mid-Shift | 12:00 AM -

Until Finish Job Responsibilities:

Schedule and assign counts to be taken on packaging, raw materials, and finished goods. Perform physical cycle counts and inventory validation. Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective action. Monitor, investigate, and notify management of discrepancies. Input cycle count information accurately into the system. Generate weekly variance reports. Perform annual physical inventory. Operate forklift and pallet jack equipment safely. Adhere to all safety standards and procedures for employees, facility, and warehouse equipment. Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of relevant work experience in inventory management, purchasing, transportation, logistics, or shipping and receiving in an automated environment. Expert-level ability to maintain accurate inventory levels and operate forklift and pallet jack equipment. Excellent mathematical computation abilities. Ability to read and process written information with a high degree of technical accuracy. Strong communication skills — verbal and written — with internal and external contacts. Ability to complete counts of products from locations within a racking system. Ability to make sound decisions consistent with company policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer service. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. At least the age of 18 years old.
