Position Summary:
The Fulfillment Center Associate is responsible for supporting receiving, inventory management, material movement, packaging, quality inspections, and shipping operations within a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This role requires forklift operation, inventory system usage, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to support continuous improvement efforts through problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and unload inbound shipments from carriers. Inspect incoming shipments and verify compliance with standard operating procedures. Perform quality control checks and process parts according to established requirements. Complete receipt documentation and work orders using inventory management systems. Enter and manage inventory data within fulfillment and warehouse systems. Package, wrap, store, and protect parts throughout the fulfillment process. Sort, stage, and move materials safely throughout the facility. Apply labels and part identifiers according to standard operating procedures. Store, organize, and audit inventory in assigned locations. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs). Support root cause analysis activities and identify process improvement opportunities. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of fulfillment center, warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience. Experience operating forklifts and other PIT equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. Data entry and inventory management system experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Inventory auditing experience. Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs). Continuous improvement or root cause analysis experience. Manufacturing, logistics, or distribution center background. Experience working in a highly technical environment.
