GED Full Job Description Job Summary :
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments. This role ensures that all received materials and products are accurately recorded, organized, and stored according to company procedures. The Inventory Clerk works closely with shipping, inventory, and procurement teams to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of goods within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently Inspect products for damage, verify quantity and quality against packing slips Record and input receiving data into inventory systems or ERP software Tag and label products appropriately for inventory tracking Communicate discrepancies or issues with vendors and purchasing department Maintain organized records of receipts, invoices, and documentation Assist in storing materials in designated warehouse locations Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely (if certified) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support cycle counts, and inventory audits as needed Follow all company safety procedures and regulations
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday depending on business needs. 8am to 4:30 pm
Salary Range:
$17.50 - $22.00
DOE Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods Forklift certification is a plus Western Valley Meat Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
