SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Monitor the accuracy of all inventory levels. Compiles and maintains records of the quantity, type, and value of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in the establishment, and reports them to management on a regular basis.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform cycle count on material, finished goods, equipment, supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using a computer.
  • Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
  • Resolve any discrepancies and/or errors promptly.
  • Develop and implement an inventory management system to ensure that product movement flows seamlessly.
  • Monitor all inventory levels and recommend any necessary changes or discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Prepare reports, such as inventory balance and shortages.
  • Maintain inventory records and report them to management at daily/weekly production meetings.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience as an Inventory Helper BS degree or equivalent Strong attention to detail and a strong problem solver. Ability to create solutions to challenges expeditiously. Communicate effectively with others. Computer literacy, especially ERP/MRP systems.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to move or lift product up to 30 lbs.
