Inbound & Inventory Control Lead K&S Logistics Ontario, CA Job Details Full-time $26 - $32 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Inventory control Inventory management Team leadership Cycle counting inventory management Warehouse management system Barcode scanning for logistics Receiving shipments Warehouse operations Root cause analysis Full Job Description K&S Logistics | Ontario, California | Full-time, on-site
Pay:
$26-$32 per hour, based on relevant skills and experience Reports to: Warehouse Manager What this job is about We need a hands-on lead to manage receiving, keep inventory accurate and make sure products are ready for our outbound team to pick and ship. You will lead the assigned inbound and inventory staff, work closely with our Warehouse Manager and help improve the way we receive, store, count and replenish products. This is a warehouse-floor role with regular computer and spreadsheet work. You will own inbound and inventory work—not the entire warehouse or the pick-pack-ship team. What you will do Manage incoming shipments Review expected deliveries, check shipment information and plan receiving work and storage space. Check product codes, quantities, labels and visible damage using each customer's agreed counting method. Record receipts and follow up on missing information or differences. Keep inventory correct Make sure products are placed in the right locations and movements are scanned and recorded. Carry out regular counts of selected inventory, investigate differences and document the cause. Follow the approval process before changing inventory balances. Prepare inventory for outbound Check what the outbound team will need and arrange movement from storage to picking locations before products run short. Confirm that quantities, locations and inventory status are correct before handoff. Keep affected stock on hold when required checks are incomplete, explain the problem and work toward a solution. Lead and train employees Assign daily work within your area, explain priorities, check results and help employees correct mistakes. Train a backup so routine work can continue when you are away. Raise staffing or priority conflicts to the Warehouse Manager. Keep clear instructions and records Help maintain simple written procedures and checklists that match actual work. Use warehouse reports and Excel to track late receipts, inventory differences, replenishment needs and open problems. Report what happened, what needs to change and who is following up. You should have Hands-on experience with receiving, putaway, inventory counts and investigating stock differences. Experience leading warehouse employees or coordinating their daily work. The ability to use a warehouse management system (WMS) and barcode scanners yourself. Practical Excel skills to compare inventory records, calculate differences and keep useful reports. The ability to explain problems clearly, write simple instructions and follow through without repeated reminders. English communication skills sufficient for warehouse instructions, safety information and work records. The ability to perform the essential on-site work, with or without reasonable accommodation. Experience in e-commerce fulfillment, multi-client warehouses or planning stock for picking locations is helpful. We value demonstrated ability over a particular previous title; a college degree is not required. Mandarin is helpful but not required. Candidates who speak English only are equally welcome and will not be marked down for not speaking Mandarin. Work schedule Regular shifts will follow the California warehouse's receiving and inventory needs. The regular workdays and start/end times will be discussed during screening and confirmed before hire. Overtime and weekend availability is needed during peak periods, with overtime paid as required by California law. What good performance looks like Receipts are processed under the agreed service standards, stock is in the right locations, counts and records agree, picking locations are replenished in time, and inventory problems are investigated rather than hidden by changing system numbers. Other trained employees can follow the written process. Apply Submit your resume and a short example of an inventory or receiving problem you personally solved. Explain what was wrong, how you found the cause and what you changed afterward. Do not submit confidential information from a current or former employer. K&S Logistics is an equal opportunity employer. Reasonable accommodations are available during the hiring process and employment.
