In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, optimizing supply chain processes, and supporting procurement and logistics operations. Your proactive approach and analytical skills will ensure seamless inventory control, contribute to process improvements, and support overall warehouse efficiency. Duties Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP to ensure accuracy and availability of stock. Conduct data mining and analysis using spreadsheets, Power BI, Excel data analysis, and other tools to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and manage logistics inventory to optimize costs and delivery times. Perform materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stocking to maintain smooth warehouse operations. Utilize materials management techniques such as demand planning, production planning, and inventory control to support manufacturing schedules and customer orders. Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, implement process enhancements, and improve overall inventory accuracy. Support warehouse operations by managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, performing root cause analysis on stock discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Assist in category management efforts by analyzing merchandising trends using Nielsen or similar data sources to optimize stock assortment. Maintain detailed records of inbound/outbound shipments, supplier management activities, and inventory transactions for audit readiness. Use technical proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS), ERP systems like MRPs (Material Requirements Planning), and data visualization tools such as Power BI for reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics inventory management with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Demonstrated skills in data collection, analysis skills, and the use of spreadsheets or inventory management software for inventory control. Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing negotiations and supplier management experience. Hands-on experience with forklift operation (certification preferred) along with materials handling safety protocols. Knowledge of supply chain analytics tools such as Power BI or other data visualization platforms is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, financial modeling, pricing strategies, and demand planning. Experience working within ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms is advantageous. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments such as merchandising, production planning, purchasing, and logistics teams. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
