Hunger at Home is seeking a detail-oriented Data & Inventory Assistant to support the organization's food recovery, inventory, food distribution, and nonprofit partner programs. This position will work closely with the other team members to maintain accurate records, complete data entry, organize inventory information, prepare reports, and support day-to-day administrative needs related to Hunger at Home's operations. The position is intended to provide additional administrative and data support so that operational information remains accurate, organized, and up to date. Key Responsibilities Enter food donation, recovery, inventory, and distribution information into Hunger at Home's tracking systems. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records in Sortly and other internal systems. Enter incoming and outgoing food quantities, weights, product information, and related records. Assist with routine physical inventory counts and compare counts with system records. Identify inventory discrepancies and provide information to the Operations Manager for review. Maintain organized records related to food donations, distributions, nonprofit partners, and other programs. Enter and update nonprofit partner information as provided by the Operations Manager. Compile weekly and monthly food recovery, inventory, and distribution data. Prepare spreadsheets and basic reports for management review. Assist with collecting data needed for grants, contracts, audits, and program reporting. Review records for missing or incomplete information and follow up with appropriate staff. Maintain batch records, inventory labels, receiving documentation, and distribution records. Follow Hunger at Home food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures while working with donated food, inventory, and warehouse activities. Scan, organize, and maintain electronic and physical operational documents. Assist the CEO with administrative tasks related to food recovery and distribution activities. Provide additional data entry and operational support as assigned. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and recordkeeping skills. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar programs. Comfortable learning inventory and database systems. Previous experience with data entry, inventory, warehouse records, or administrative work is preferred. Able to communicate effectively with staff and management. Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Able to safely lift and move boxes or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Nonprofit, food distribution, warehouse, or inventory experience is helpful but not required. Preferred Skills Experience with Sortly or another inventory management system. Experience preparing spreadsheets and operational reports. Basic knowledge of inventory control and reconciliation. Experience working with nonprofit or community programs is a plus. Working Environment This position includes office and warehouse-related duties. The employee may work in refrigerated or freezer areas while assisting with inventory verification, food safety checks, and related operational tasks. The role may also require lifting, carrying, and moving boxes or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
