Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control, and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical proficiency with inventory management systems, and a solid understanding of logistics and materials handling. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and optimize supply chain performance in a fast-paced environment. Duties Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar software. Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. Analyze inventory data through spreadsheets, Power BI dashboards, and data visualization tools to support demand planning and procurement decisions. Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize stock levels, pricing strategies, and supplier management. Assist in process improvement initiatives related to materials handling, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment workflows. Utilize forklift operation skills for materials handling tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Support warehouse operations by coordinating stocking activities, managing warehouse distribution tasks, and ensuring efficient order processing. Contribute to financial analysis related to inventory valuation, pricing adjustments, and supply chain analytics. Collect data on warehouse performance metrics to inform continuous improvement efforts. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or related supply chain roles. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent, and Excel data analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data mining, visualization, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of logistics inventory management, procurement processes, and category management principles. Experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse environment. Familiarity with demand planning tools like MRPs (Material Requirements Planning) systems and Nielsen data sources is a plus. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration within supply chain teams. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock handling activities. Technical proficiency in data collection tools, spreadsheets, financial modeling, and analytics software such as Power BI. Strong math skills combined with a thorough understanding of inventory control principles. Prior experience with warehouse operations software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or inventory management software is desirable.
