Job Description

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Receiving Lead to join our team! We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional to oversee our receiving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating incoming shipments, verifying inventory, and ensuring all products are received accurately and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise daily receiving operations. Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Maintain accurate inventory records. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams. Receive goods and verify the quantity and condition of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; compare against supplier documentation and report any discrepancies immediately to carriers, supervisors, and the purchasing department in accordance with company policy. Prepare bills of lading and drayage tickets for shipments. Complete documentation for damage claims related to in-transit issues. Transport materials within the receiving dock using a hand truck or other equipment as needed. Provide necessary documentation and data to accounting and other departments for payment processing and recordkeeping. Restock inventory, supplies, and special orders as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received. Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Excellent time management skills. Previous warehouse or receiving experience Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Forklift experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting over 50 pounds, standing, and carrying. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
