Job Description

Sentry Firearms is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Inventory Receiver to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately receiving firearms and merchandise shipments, verifying inventory against invoices, and ensuring all products are priced, tagged, and logged in compliance with ATF recordkeeping requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with repetitive detail work, and able to keep pace with a high-volume retail environment. AI generated responses are not accepted.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders. Log all incoming firearms into the bound book (FastBound) accurately and immediately upon receipt, per ATF requirements. Enter and update pricing for received merchandise in the back office/POS system. Tag, label, and organize new inventory for the sales floor in a timely manner. Inspect received items for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately. Reconcile received quantities against ordered quantities and flag shortages or overages. Maintain organized, accurate records of all inventory movement. Help keep the receiving area, stockroom, and back office clean and orderly.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy under repetitive tasks. Ability to learn ATF regulations related to firearms receiving and bound book recordkeeping. Comfortable working with inventory management systems, pricing updates, and back-office software. Basic knowledge of firearms, optics, ammunition, and accessories preferred. Ability to work efficiently and manage time well, especially during high-volume shipment days. Prior experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control roles preferred. A firearm hobbyist or enthusiast is a plus.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$15.50 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Why do you want to work at Sentry Firearms specifically and how did you hear about this job listing? What system do you use to make sure nothing gets missed — a checklist, a specific software, a physical process? Have you used any inventory management or point-of-sale software before? If yes, which ones (Lightspeed, FastBound, Cumulus, etc.)? Do you have prior experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or retail stockroom work? If so, how many years? Do you have any experience working around firearms — professionally, through hobby/sport shooting, military, or law enforcement? Are you comfortable learning and following detailed regulatory recordkeeping procedures (ATF bound book entry)?
