Job Description:
Evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream, and must be able to support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem-solving skills. Proper use of equipment to support the role, possess fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts. Understanding the operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices associated with such machinery. Able to operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities within the sites, including but not limited to: electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks and turret-trucks. Able to unload shipments delivered by carriers. Visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure. Review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure. Able to use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order. Navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly coming from the physical delivery of a part. Navigate through modules and read information as it is needed for a specific task of Fulfillment. Identify what type of packaging is needed for parts, and must properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow. Move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it's identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow. Ensure all parts are part labeled, have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure in order to analyze parts through the workflow. Properly store and use good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk, audit per a standard operating procedure.
Qualifications:
2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions. Safety is a top priority it is imperative that one strictly adheres to established safety protocols and guidelines. This includes but is not limited to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication. Communication skills within a highly technical environment. Mathematical skills Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information. Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Previous certified forklift experience
Desired:
Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
