Job Title:
Inventory Clerk Job Description The Inventory Clerk maintains accurate stock levels and supports warehouse operations by processing returns, vendor claims, and stock transfers in a timely and organized manner. This role ensures that all inventory movements are properly documented, inspected, and stored, contributing to efficient order fulfillment and a well-organized warehouse. Responsibilities Maintain inventory accuracy by promptly processing RGAs, vendor claims, and stock transfers. Perform regular inventory counts and verify part numbers to ensure correct stock identification. Inspect returned parts for quality and condition and scrap inventory as directed. Organize and maintain RGA shelves and detailed files for returns to ensure easy tracking and retrieval. Put away returned parts in the correct locations and assign accurate part information as required. Support weekly stock order receipt and put-away to keep inventory levels current and organized. Maintain supplies inventory, including boxes, labels, bags, and other packaging materials, to support daily warehouse operations. Essential Skills Previous warehouse experience with a focus on inventory handling and storage. Experience working with inventory in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform accurate inventory counts and part number verifications. Strong attention to detail when inspecting, organizing, and documenting inventory. Ability to follow established procedures for processing returns, vendor claims, and stock transfers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a warehouse technician or in a similar warehouse support role. Organizational skills to maintain RGA shelves, files, and supply inventories. Work Environment This role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, where you will work around active inventory storage and handling areas. The position involves physical activity such as walking, standing, and moving inventory and supplies throughout the day, and requires comfort working in varying temperatures and typical warehouse conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
