Job Description
Position:
Inventory Clerk Payrate Starting at - $42,000.00 per year Position Summary Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and data integrity of all plant raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventories. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Initial inspection of all inbound raw material: match count and weight with BOL, inspect dimensions, surface appearance, gauge, and hardness. Reconcile inspection concerns as soon as possible with appropriate parties (Quality Assurance, Plant Supervision, or Purchasing) Input all received raw and MRO material in Epicor (daily) Input Raw Material Activity transactions in Epicor (daily) Minimize/eliminate aging inventory by using FIFO (First-in first out) planning and staging smaller coils first Perform regularly scheduled cycle counts for raw material and finished goods inventory segments (weekly) Report above cycle count inventory accuracy on weekly basis. Coordinate weekly MRB (raw material, WIP, and finished goods). Objective being to minimize levels in all of above categories. Assist with Rejected material documentation and communication process. Review, suggest, and enforce application of non-standard and dormant raw material and finished goods. Manage and document overrun coil/sheet levels within EPICOR. Track and manage perforated coil stock, and all finish goods inventory. Maintain and organize the raw material warehouse area, finish goods overrun area.
• Participate in reducing downtime using problem solving techniques including implementing solutions.
• Maintain 5S scores within target required for a Visual & clean factory. Skills & Specifications Excellent understanding of basic MRP and inventory planning concepts and applications. Good knowledge of measuring tools and product tolerances Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing and documentation. Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicates effectively with shop employees. Education & Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in Metal Forming industry and at least 3 years in Inventory / Warehouse Management or Shop Supervision Strong technical background must include knowledge of sheet metal fabricating processes and equipment, including punch presses, press brakes, shears, cut-to-length lines, leveling equipment, tooling, etc. Good working knowledge of various metals (CRS, HRS, Stainless, Aluminum) Working knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
• High School Graduate, Associates Degree preferred.
