Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as an Inventory Control Specialist!
The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Inventory Control Specialist who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining optimized inventory levels to prevent inventory shortages and overages. The role is fast-paced and requires a high sense of urgency in order to support a lean manufacturing facility, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Perform inventory cycle counts Track, resolve, and report stock-outs Assist in the tracking and improvement of inventory reports & countermeasures Set up new inventory locations, bins, and move items as needed Communicate and monitor improvement plans to meet inventory objectives Organize and maintain a clean warehouse following 5S practices Focus on continuous improvement (Kaizen) in inventory processes and procedures Maintain Standard Storage Procedures for every Part (PFEP) Assist in maintaining theInventory Central Store What We're Looking For:
High School diploma or equivalent Some warehouse/inventory experience preferred Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office) Willingness to be certified to operate a forkliftWhat Sets You Apart:
Strong attention to detail with a track record of accurate inventory control Experience with inventory management systems Ability to identify process improvements and proactively solve problems Strong communication skills in a warehouse or cross-functional environmentWhere and When You'll Work:
This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pmWhat Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like:
