JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control processes within a fast-paced e-commerce distribution environment. This role partners with operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, analyze inventory trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in supporting efficient order fulfillment and maintaining accurate inventory across multiple systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct inventory review projects to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity. Perform quantitative analysis to identify inventory trends, eliminate waste, and support demand forecasting. Plan, execute, and analyze cycle counts, inventory audits, and statistical test counts. Maintain inventory catalogs and accurately track and document all inventory movements. Proactively anticipate inventory requirements and communicate inventory needs to relevant stakeholders. Monitor, generate, and interpret inventory reports to support operational decision-making. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy. Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Recommend and support cost-saving initiatives through inventory and process optimization. Collaborate with warehouse, operations, purchasing, and customer service teams to resolve inventory-related issues. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Inventory control or inventory management experience. Basic mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents and reports. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Ability to learn statistical and inventory management software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an e-commerce, distribution, fulfillment, or warehouse environment. Experience with inventory management, ERP, or demand planning systems. Ability to review operational and system processes, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Experience querying, analyzing, and consolidating data from multiple sources. Knowledge of cycle counting methodologies, inventory audits, and inventory control best practices. Experience using data analysis and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work requires some muscular exertion and/or physical strain such as standing for long periods of time, recurring bending, lifting, or lowering of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
