Job Description

PURPOSE The purpose of the Cycle Count position is to perform physical and systemic processes related to inventory in accordance with work instructions and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Cycle counter is responsible for following standardized work procedures and will complete the following tasks for their role: Monitoring and controlling inventory practices to ensure accuracy while maintaining product identification and location Supervising the counting of inventory, ensuring data accuracy, and reconciling discrepancies Performing audits and counting physical inventory routinely Execute basic to advanced workflow tasks on established SMC systems for Material Handler and Cycle Count Report inventory discrepancies and identify root cause to management within the established processes. Perform transactions as required to maintain accuracy of product in location Proficiency in essential job functions for Cycle Count according to the Job Function Performance Key In this role, you will complete all other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Additional training will be provided to new hires on SMC ERP systems, standards, and practices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands of this position require the employee to stand, walk, and use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with their hands and arms. The role will also necessitate the employee to lift heavy components (up to 40Lbs) as needed. The person is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to hear and talk. While the production facility is temperature controlled, the work environment may expose employees to noise, heat, cold, dust, lubricants, and/or solvents. Must be able to drive if position requires use of Powered Industrial Truck.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
No prior experience needed. Available to work overtime on weekdays/weekends as needed (multiple day time schedules are available). Basic computer and math skills. Detail-oriented. Work in a team environment for an increased productivity and quality.
