Warehouse Purchaser/Receiver Position Purpose:
This position is for processing inbound and outbound shipments, loading or unloading material, pulling and preparing orders, and maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness. Purchases tools, supplies, parts and equipment from various vendors and suppliers. Controls inventory to keep costs down while still providing supplies to field craftsmen and managers. Responsible for all paperwork regarding purchasing and credits for damaged items or unused items from a job site. Responsible for all warranty paperwork and returns
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Purchase Materials Confers with vendors to obtain product information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Controls cost by researching best prices on stock material being ordered. Select a supplier that can, during peak work periods, deliver parts in a timely and efficient method. Receiving Loads, unloads, and moves materials and equipment throughout the facility. Verifies accuracy and condition of load. Documents any issues, backorders or damages. Tags and notifies required personnel of delivered material. Control Inventory Levels Evaluate inventory stock and levels over time through usage and make adjustments based on business needs. Track all materials and equipment that are received and store them in their proper place. Return unused material to the vendor timely. Check all parts bins for inventory on a regular basis and replace items that are used frequently. Supply Tools and Materials to Field Craftsmen Receive, research and fill technician requests for pick up or delivery. Verify proper inventory paperwork is filled out and accurate. Track all tools; fill out a tool issue form and give it to the service manager to keep it on file. Coordinate Deliveries with the Warehouse Manager Provide accurate details on where and when the delivery is to be made. Ensure all materials are pulled and marked for the job or purchase orders for pick-ups are documented. Keep Warehouse Clean and Organized Follow other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related responsibilities requested by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. General computer knowledge Excellent customer service skills, time management skills and organizational skills. The ability to lift 30lbs regularly. Pass a
Physical Capacity Test Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of commercial, industrial and residential HVAC and/or plumbing materials and systems. Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control. 1-2 years of warehouse experience. 1-2 years inventory or parts purchasing experience. Forklift experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Exerts up to 30 pounds of force frequently. Required walking or standing to a degree; or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls.
